در پاسخ به درخواست وزارت کشور جهت رسیدگی به نیازهای کودکان آسیب پذیرهنگام شیوع بیماری کووید -19، دفتریونیسف ایران تعدادی بسته های لوازم بهداشتی شامل 30،000 ضد عفونی کننده دست، 12،000 ژل ضدعفونی کننده ، 30،000 صابون مایع، 11،988 بسته پد بهداشتی بانوان، 33،000 پودر شوینده ، 33،000 مایع ظرفشویی و همچنین 300،000 ماسک را از کارخانه های ایرانی تهیه و تحویل وزارت کشور داد. این اقلام به 31 شهر در شش استان سیستان و بلوچستان ، کردستان ، کرمانشاه ، کرمان ، خوزستان و هرمزگان ارسال می شود و در آنجا با حمایت سازمان های مردم نهاد محلی و شهرداری ها، به گروه های کودکان آسیب پذیر از جمله کودکان بی سرپرست، کودکان در مراکز مراقبت های جایگزین، کودکان مبتلا به سرطان و بیماری های خاص، کودکان خیابان، کودکان در خانواده های کم درآمد، کودکان دارای معلولیت و همچنین کودکان در معرض آسیب تحویل داده خواهد شد. جهت نظارت بر روند توزیع این اقلام، نماینده یونیسف در ایران، خانم مندیپ اوبرایان، و رئیس مرکز اطلاع رسانی و امور بین الملل وزارت کشور، آقای ساکی، روز 21 مهرماه از انبار این اقلام بازدید کردند. In response to the request of the Ministry of Interior to address the needs of vulnerable children during the COVID-19 outbreak, UNICEF delivered a number of locally procured hygiene items including 30,000 hand sanitizers, 12,000 sanitizing gels, 30,000 liquid hand soaps, 11,988 sanitary pads, 33,000 detergent powder, 33,000 dishwashing liquid as well as 300,000 masks. The items are being dispatched to 31 cities in six provinces of Sistan and  Baluchestan , Kordestan , Kermanshah, Kerman, Khuzestan and Hormozgan where local NGOs and municipalities will help deliver them to vulnerable groups of children including children without effective caregivers, children in alternative care centres, children with cancer and special diseases, children in street situation, children in low-income families, children with disabilities, as well as at-risk children. UNICEF Iran Representative, Ms. Mandeep O’Brien, and Head of Center for Public Relations and International Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Saki, visited the warehouse of items on Monday 12th October to monitor the distribution.
