Michael Schelp is the president and chief executive officer of Spark Plug Entertainment, a New York-based studio that produces computer-animated features for the international home entertainment and television markets. In the United States, Spark Plug features on DVD are sold on Walmart, Kmart, and other leading retailers and aired on the Starz premium cable channel. Spark Plug has released eleven titles: ""Bug Bites"" (aka ""Ant's Life""), ""Operation Dalmation"", ""Mee Christmas"", ""Car's Life"", ""Plan Bee"", ""Spider's Web"", ""Piper Penguin and His Amazing Flying Machines"", ""Car's Life 2"", ""Toyz Goin' Wild"", ""The Adventures of Scooter the Penguin"", and ""Car's Life- Royal Heist"". A twelfth, ""Car's Life- Junkyard Blues"", is now in production.

Schelp has executive produced several TV series for US television networks including ""MANswers"" on Spike TV, ""Viking: the Ultimate Obstacle Course"" on ESPN, and ""Blais Off"" on Discovery Science Channel. He senior produced CHA$E (SciFi Channel) and created, developed, and executive produced ""TILT 23 1/2"", a reality TV series that has been sold in over 120 countries.

Schelp is a member of the Emmy Committee of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He won a Telly for the web series ""Superchef Kids"" sponsored by Bounty.
