A native Californian born and raised in Tustin, Tiiu was deeply inspired by the European sensibility of her immigrant parents.
She developed an appreciation of the arts and 'country living' at a young age. Tiiu joined The 4-H Club where she was involved with horses, rabbits and cooking. She studied piano and was accepted into the National Guild. Her interest in helping others led Tiiu to join the National Charity League, a six-year core program of community service, leadership development and cultural activities. She was awarded the 'Merci Award' for donating the most hours to her community in a given year.
Tiiu appeared in her first fashion show at the age of 5 years, inspiring her to participate in local theatre, Glee club and modeling.
Tiiu attended San Diego State University where she studied Interior Design and Theater. She moved to Los Angeles where she continued her acting studies, attending John Ruskin School of Acting and Santa Monica College.
Tiiu's first film was Layover starring David Hasselhoff. Her most recent films include A Mermaid's Tale starring Jerry O'Connell and Barry Bostwick, You're Gonna Miss Me starring John Schneider and Leo Howard and Lemonheads starring George Jonson and William Shockley.
Tiiu expanded her interest in filmmaking, serving as Casting Director on A Mermaid's Tale starring Jerry O'Connell and Barry Bostwick, You're Gonna Miss Me starring John Schneider and Leo Howard and Hot Bath An A Stiff Drink starring Grainger Hines and Rex Linn and Commmon Threads starring Nancy Stafford and Thomas Silcott. She also cast the Randy Houser music videos "We Went" and "Like A Cowboy". Current projects is Casting Director and Associate Producer on a feature film called Texas Honky Tonk Nites,
Tiiu's talent for photography led her to become Set Photographer on the above mentioned projects. In addition, Tiiu was hired as Costume Designer on A Mermaid's Tale.
Tiiu received her first Producer credit on the short film Common Threads, the directorial debut of William Shockley.
