At the time, Mike's first wife, Kendall McLain -- whom he'd met and married in Germany while stationed there -- was also a well-known British actress in San Diego, having been in many award-winning productions at the Old Globe in San Diego and Orange County Rep.
After school Mike and Kendall moved to Hollywood. Almost immediately an agent at William Morris got him his first job on a sitcom pilot, Mike continued writing and finally landed his dream job -- writing for Hart To Hart. At about the same time he met James McAdams, long-time producer at Universal, who convinced Mike he could write when he was older and began teaching him how to produce.
Mike worked with McAdams on several series and MOWs, until Jim relocated to New York, at which time Mike moved over to Airwolf and became the show's Associate Producer for its entire run -- a job devoted solely to post-producing the highly technical and involved series.
After the "high tech" series boom passed Mike continued writing, directing and AD'ing, until he discovered Reality TV, enjoying the fast-pace and immediacy of the format. He's worked on a variety of shows and genres since, both as a Field Director and Field Producer.
During this time Mike developed a deep friendship and respect for Harry Bromley-Davenport, an insanely crazy and articulate director. They've collaborated on several films and continue to make "small little personal" movies to this date.
Mike has two children by his 2nd wife, Diana: A son, Riley, and daughter, Mason. Writing and filmmaking will always be Mike's passion, but his children are his one and only loves.
