Jesper Quistgaard is an upcoming film director who has shown great promise and range in his body of work. Every film is a new genre, from the social realistic "Heavyweight" (2014) to the post apocalyptic "Ødeland" (2015). However some themes and trademarks seem to appear every time. For example a strong minded main character with a great dilemma and a tendency to depict "the human condition". Jesper has stated that he always wants to say something true about being a human being - in good times and in bad times. There is a great duality in his characters, but definitely also a tendency to have a morale of the story. In the future we may hope to see a feature length film from Jesper, but only time can tell us what he will show us next.
