Silvia Busuioc was born September 7, 1989 in Chisinau, Moldova. Her artistic career started from an early age through dancing. At the age of 7 she started studying modern dance, latino, jazz, tango, progressing in her teenage years to hip-hop and belly dancing. By the age of 12 she was performing in many dance shows on Moldavian National TV and at numerous theaters and cultural institutions in Moldova and Ukraine.In 2002, whilst attending national state school studying foreign languages, she also began studying in the private school of performing arts in Chisnau where she took her first acting classes, as well as photography, arts, fashion, aesthetics.In 2006 Silvia Busuioc won her first beauty competition at national level in Moldova and was on the cover page of the national Moldavian magazine Jurnal de Chisinau. In the same year she began studying Radio Journalism at Centru Media Pentru Tineri (Moldavian Youth Cultural Center) and started her collaboration with national Radio Moldova, hosting youth radio programs.In 2008 she was selected to be part of a young theater group based in the Italian medieval city Cittadella. From collaboration with the group she secured the role of Gertrude in the comic parody of Hamlet and acted for two years in the play "Amletie" in Italian theaters in Province of Padua. In the same period she started collaborating with a student radio station, Radio Bue, writing and hosting her own radio program, where the main topic was to discuss youth problems through acting them out in Radio Drama pieces.In 2009 Silvia Busuioc started her studies in performing arts at the State University of Milan, where she studied history of theater, arts, acting, cinema and television and from which she graduated in March 2012 with the graduation thesis titled "From Nabokov to Kubrick: 'Lolita' through literature, cinema, theater and music". She then won the role of Alda Merini, a famous Italian poetess, in the theater play dedicated to the poetess and based on her biography and poems "DiVerso...Amore" (Different ...Love). Silvia played a young Alda Merini unjustly detained in a psychiatric asylum by her husband. The play received great reviews and gave Silvia the opportunity to express her outstanding acting skills in a very difficult role.In 2010 Silvia Busuioc starts an important collaboration with Italian National Television Productions, starting with Telelombardia, Antena 3, SKY, La7, Canale5, where she acted in and hosted the TV Shows, some of which based on Italian comedy, dance and music. This collaboration continued till the end of 2012 and contributed to her success in Italy.In 2011 Silvia started to work with an established Italian director, writer and actor Rocco Ricciardulli for an important play "Animelle! Un euro al chilo", where she got the lead role of Lilia. The main topic of the play is human trafficking, violence towards women and prostitution. The play was on European Tour participating at Fringe Festival and was also picked up by the Italian Embassy in Romania, where the play was shown in the country's main theaters gaining great reviews and success. Silvia became part of the theater group, based in Milan and later went on to become part of the cast in the short film "Occhi", which deals with the problem of woman's image ruined by advertising and mass media, where 'woman' considered only as a sexual object. With the same group in 2012 she was casted for the play "La Verità sul Amore! Vi prego..." (Truth about love! Please...) a romantic play directed also by Rocco Riciardulli, where Silvia gets the lead role of Katja; as well as the co-star role for the play "Sete! Allarme oro blu", a debate on the protection of "water" as a resource essential for human survival.Between 2011 and 2012 Silvia played in numerous theatrical plays based on social problems and cultural differences, as in the play "Gli incubi del geco", a play written by Madagascar writer Jean-Luc Raharimanana, about African wars, suffering and genocide as a result of cultural differences and backgrounds.Whilst maintaining a busy theater schedule Silvia continued working with Italian TV Shows, continuously being called back to act on the famous "Striscia la Notizia" satiric show on National Italian TV Chanel 5, the "Gene Gnocchi" comedy show on National Chanel RAI and the "G'Day" show on La 7 National Chanel.In 2013 she was cast as a lead role for the second season of the TV series "Fuoriclasse" directed by Riccardo Donna. The series was shot in Turin during the Summer of 2013 and will be broadcasted in February 2014 on National TV Chanel Rai Uno. Silvia express her extraordinary acting abilities in each episode and speaks four different languages in the story, as required by her role in the series.
