‏Ralitza Petrova‏

Born in Bulgaria, Ralitza lives and works between Bulgaria, England, and France. In early life she studied Fine Art, and later Fiction Directing at the UK's National Film and Television School. Her films have won acclaim at Cannes, Berlin, and Locarno film festivals. In 2007 she was awarded the Prix UIP Best European Short Film at Berlinale for her film 'Rotten Apple'. Her next film 'By the Grace of God' (2009) premiered in Cannes, and was distributed by the British Film Institute. In 2016 her feature debut 'Godless' premiered at Locarno, where it won the Golden Leopard for Best Film.
