‏Emma Fairley‏

With a reputation for bold décor and a strong design aesthetic, Emma Fairley is known as a detail oriented Production Designer who comes from the multiple layered European tradition of decorating with narrative. Originally from Scotland, Emma started working in Los Angeles early on in her career, designing hundreds of advertising campaigns and music videos both in the US and in Europe. She was nominated two years running by the Art Director's Guild for Best Production Design Short Format; first for Madonna's "Ghost Town," and later for Coldplay's "Magic" video. Emma has designed high profile videos for artists such as Beyonce, Lada Gaga, U2, Metallica and brands such as Lexus, L'Oreal, Cavalli, H&M, Cover Girl, Maybelline and Target . . . just to name a few.

Emma designed her first feature, THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY, in collaboration with Directors Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cumming. The film went onto accrue international attention and garnered multiple nominations and awards in Best Independent Film sector (Spirit Awards) and "Un certain Regard" at Cannes. This venture took Emma to France for the next three years where she worked on multiple campaigns and fashion editorials, curating a sensibility for theatrical trends in fashion and advertising. Recently she has come back to the world of feature films.

Recent film credits include LORDS OF CHAOS directed by Jonas Åkerlund. Filmed on location in Hungary and Norway, the film was produced by RSA Films, Scott Free, Vice and Twentieth Century Fox. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is set to be released in Spring of this year. It is a period film based on the true story of the Black Metal band Mayhem and the surrounding culture.

Emma is currently working on another Åkerlund feature, POLAR starting Mads Mikkelson, Vanessa Hudgens and Matt Lucas. It is being produced by Constantin films and is shooting in Toronto, Canada.
