‏Seth A. Smith‏

Seth Smith is a Nova Scotia-based filmmaker and visual artist. His films have screened at name festivals around the world and are praised for their dark tone and surrealist style. In 2012 he completed his first film, Lowlife. The micro-budget feature premiered at Fantasia and went on to receive a nation-wide, 25 city, crowd-sourced theatrical release. In 2017 his sophomore effort, The Crescent, premiered in TIFF's Midnight Madness section, took awards for best score, screenwriting, and actress at the Atlantic International Film Festival, and was given a nomination for the 2017 Directors Guild of Canada Discovery Award. His newest project, Singer, which was finalist of the Harold Greenberg Script Development Program, is in preproduction.

Outside of directing shorts and features, Seth is known for his music in Dog Day, his visual art in Yorodeo, and frequently serves as a programmer for various film festivals.
