‏Lacey Dorn‏

Lacey Dorn is an actress and filmmaker working in both cinema and fine art. While an undergraduate at Stanford, Dorn began her film career by co-creating documentaries with James Franco. She has since focused on acting and narrative filmmaking. Films she has directed, written, produced and acted in have screened at film festivals internationally, including SXSW, Mill Valley and Cannes. Her forthcoming starring roles in feature films include Christopher Coppola's Torch and John Buffalo Mailer & Charles Kopelson's The Jingoist. On stage, she stars in Jay Scheib's ongoing live-film production of Persona by Ingmar Bergman, which has run to critical acclaim across the U.S. In her most recent project, The Pillar Method, she writes, directs and produces a short dark comedy about the abuse of power in Hollywood, starring alongside Buck Henry, Olivia Hamilton and Waris Ahluwalia. Dorn's experiential performance/video art works explore the subversion of values, trends and stereotypes, investigating what's beneath the surface of the audience's generalizations and have been featured in solo and group shows, including at The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, REDCAT and The Chimney. Her work has shown alongside artists including Yoko Ono, Dustin Yellin and Richard Prince.
