‏J. Jiquel Lanoe‏

Joseph Jiquel-Lanoë spent several years in Tahiti where he doubtlessly met Gauguin during his first stay in the late 1890's. He spent the last years of his life from 1940 to his death in 1948 in Papeete. Except for three paintings, one of them ("Trois Tahitiennes près d'un étang en forêt") revealing a strong influence of Gauguin, which he doubtlessly met, all traces of his work are gone.
