‏Serena Stampfer‏

Serena was born in York, North Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. Her mother is Raija Kristiina Mossop (née Riekkinen), who is from Hyvinkää, Finland, and her father is Michael Stampfer, from Surrey, United Kingdom. They divorced when Serena was two years old, and she was brought up mainly by her mother and her stepfather, James Mossop. Serena moved house several times as a child, from York to Lincolnshire then finally Surrey, where she attended Oxted County School for her secondary education and sixth form.

Serena always had a desire to act but she was too shy as a child and only ever got background or chorus roles in school plays. When she was 13, her drama teacher managed to pull her out of her shell, and with her newfound confidence, Serena took Drama as one of her optional GCSE subjects and gained an A grade for it. Later, when aged 18 and spending her gap year before university in Sweden (where her family moved after her A-Levels), she took a short course in English Drama at Växjö University in Växjö, Sweden. Serena studied towards a BSc in Applied Science and Forensic Investigation at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom from 2002 but did not complete the degree course.

It wasn't until many years later, by which time she had given birth to a son called Max, that Serena looked into acting again. She decided to start doing some occasional extras work at the start of 2016 and this reignited her passion for acting and decided to make a real go of it.
