Soon after he created and directed the A2IM's anti-piracy campaign entitled "Stealing Sucks." In that same year, one of Michael's two viral promos for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, "Miss March Mishap," received over a million hits in under a month. His early work soon gained the attention of mentor Peter Paige, who gave Michael his first TV directing job on "The Fosters." Michael has also had the privilege of shadowing amazing directors: Mark Mylod on "Shameless," Tony Phelan on "Grey's Anatomy," John Fortenberry on "Instant Mom," Michael McDonald on "Benched," Norman Buckley on "The Fosters," Erin O'Malley on "New Girl" and Ian Toynton on "Bones." He co-created and directed the web series pilot, "Paige a Day," starring Michaela Watkins, Holland Taylor, and Jason Biggs, and conceived and directed the Father Tiger music video, "First Love," that received acclaim from both The Advocate and It Gets Better Campaign.
Most recently he wrote/produced/directed the Mockumentary "Walk It Out" that premiered at the Palm Springs Int'l ShortFest and directed the Krista Vernoff short "Divorce: The Greatest Hits" starring Jay Harrington, Beau Mirchoff, Tracie Thoms, and Kevin Daniels which premiered at the LA Int'l Shorts Festival.
Before directing Michael spent many years in NYC and LA as an actor. His television credits include: "Grace and Frankie," "Bones," "Two and a Half Men," "Grey's Anatomy," "House," "Will & Grace," "Sex and the City," and others that were on the air so briefly you wouldn't even remember them.
His film credits include: "Day Out of Days," "For a Good Time Call...," "Kiss the Bride," and "Life's Too Good."
And he's done a million commercials.
One.
Million.
Michael received a BFA from Boston University and was the recipient of their highest alumni honor: The 2010 Distinguished Young Alumni Award.
