James Polakof, Ph.D. is award winning motion picture writer, producer and director. He wrote, produced and directed the following theatrical films: Silence, starring Will Geer; Memory of Us, (Producer) starring Jon Cypher, Ellen Geer and Rosemarie; He Is My Brother, starring Bobby Sherman, Keenan Wynn and Benson Fong; Sunburst, starring Robert Englund, James Keach, Rudy Vallee and Kathrine Baumann; Love & the Midnight Auto Supply, starring Michael Parks, Linda Crystal, John Ireland and Rory Calhoun; Swim Team, starring Stephen Furst; Jenny Neumann and Buster Crabbe; Dark Eyes, starring Lana Wood, Kabir Bedi, Britt Ekland, Don Galloway and John Carradine; Balboa, starring Tony Curtis,Carol Lynley, Chuck Connors, Sonny Bono, Steve Kanaly and Jennifer Chase; The Vals, starring Sue Ane Langdon, Sonny Bono, Jill Carroll and John Carradine; and It's Only Make Believe, starry Randy Friske, Barbara Bogar and Donna Cherry. He also wrote, produced and directed award winning documentaries, including Looking Better through the Art of Cosmetic Surgery, featuring Phyllis Diller; and Here's Baby, featuring Gary Collins and Mary Ann Mobley. His new novel entitled Rebirth of Erin O'Brien was recently published (2017) and is available through Amazon and Kindle. He has completed a television limited series treatment based upon this novel.
