بیوگرافی / زندگینامه David Handelman
David Handelman is a print journalist turned TV writer and producer. As a staff writer at Rolling Stone, he covered everything from the Beastie Boys to Sam Kinison to folk artist Howard Finster to the AIDS activists ACT UP, and edited two "HOT" issues and two issues devoted to comedy. He then was the arts editor and writer for Vogue and wrote for dozens of publications including the New York Times, New York magazine, GQ, Details, Premiere, and Spy. He broke into TV by writing a spec "Larry Sanders' with Kids in the Hall member Mark McKinney. Aaron Sorkin read it and hired them to co-write a freelance Sports Night, which became the season 1 episode "Sword of Orion." The following year, he turned a real-life disastrous experience interviewing Michael Jordan into the season 2 Sports Night episode "The Sweet Smell of Air." He then joined the staff of The West Wing for season four, Sorkin's final year. He would end up writing for all four of Sorkin's TV series to date. He has written and produced for two daytime talk shows, the beloved short-lived CBS series "Love Monkey," season six of One Tree Hill, CNN's Eliot Spitzer program, Good Morning America, season two of ABC's Nashville, the Direct TV series Rogue, and CNN's Smerconish.
