He worked on over 50 short films at FSU, associate producing the Student Academy Award-winning comedy "The Plunge" and co-producing the drama "Fields of Mudan," which qualified for the 2006 Oscar for Best Short Film. After working for Practical Pictures and Magnet Management in Los Angeles, he moved back home to Connecticut.
Since then, Lang has co-produced the satire "Being Michael Madsen," starring Michael Madsen, Virginia Madsen, David Carradine and Lacey Chabert, associate produced the supernatural drama "The Other Side of the Tracks," starring Brendan Fehr and Tania Raymonde, and produced the vampire thriller "Fog Warning." He also associate produced "Out of My Hand," a 2016 Independent Spirit Award nominee and 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival winner for US Fiction, which is being distributed on Netflix by Ava DuVernay's ARRAY. In addition, Lang created the curriculum for the nationally-recognized Connecticut Film Industry Training Program, a state-sponsored film workforce initiative that ran from 2008 to 2012.
Lang also wrote, directed and produced the feature romantic dramedy "Rising Star," which was acquired for worldwide distribution by Content Film in 2013. The film won Best Premiere and was an Audience Award nominee at the 2012 Seattle True Independent Film Festival, and won the Audience Award at the 2013 Southeastern New England Film, Arts and Music Festival. It has been featured in Filmmaker Magazine, Film Threat and Film Courage. It also won indieWIRE's Project of the Month for September 2011. It is available for streaming on Amazon.com
Lang has taught film at Quinnipiac University and Stage32.com, and worked as the Undergraduate Production Manager at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. He is currently in development on his second feature film, and a television pilot, and is an MFA Screenwriting student at Cal State Northridge.
