Despite his high aspirations and several credits on various film projects, he never had any special scholar education. Instead, he taught himself everything. He believed this to be particularly possible thanks to his grandfather's influence, as he is a famous director himself. It is said that this is not Marcel's primary reason of becoming a filmmaker, however, it was an attempt of getting closer to him. Vojtech Jasny, his grandfather, and Marcel have always had a distant relationship, partially to be blamed by living in two different countries as his father moved to Germany when he was still a young boy. During these impressionable years, he was often left alone and grew up in front of a television as parents had to work hard to earn money. It was during these times that subsequently gave him a vast knowledge on film productions and storytelling that he continues to hone to this day.

It did not take long for Marcel to venture into several productions, vowing to step into his grandfather's footsteps and continue the legacy under the Jasny family banner. He still claims his passion of film to be of utmost importance in his tenure as a film director.
