In 1993 the Senogles family moved to Cape Town where Kim attended primary school at Sweet Valley, followed by high school at Springfield Convent - an all-girls private school.
She was very involved with extra-mural activities at school, both cultural and sporting. She was a member of the school choir, chamber choir, orchestra, jazz band and participated in school plays both at her own school and neighbouring boys' schools. She began playing field hockey at age 7, played throughout school and still plays today. Other sports include netball, tennis, indoor hockey, waterpolo and soccer.
In 2004, whilst in Grade 10, she was a finalist in Miss SA Teen where she made the top 12. Four years later, in 2008, she was crowned First Runner-Up at Miss Earth South Africa and spent the year focused on environmental projects - a cause still important to her. In 2009 she represented South Africa at Miss Princess of the World in Prague and again placed First Runner-Up.
Kim started dance class while still in Johannesburg, and finally after much begging began classical ballet training in 1994. In 2002 she started taking class at the Cape Academy of Performing Arts under Jacqui Pells and performed at many theatres with the school.
Kim is in her final year at the University of Cape Town, taking four majors: Drama, Film Studies, Media and Writing, and Political Science. She began working in the Cape Town film and television industry during her first year at university and has been featured in both local and international adverts. Natalee Holloway was her first movie role audition and the film was shot in and around Cape Town.
