بیوگرافی / زندگینامه Patrice Holloway
After the Holloway family moved from Atascadero, California, where her older sister, Brenda was born, to Los Angeles, Patrice was born in 1948. Patrice did a lot of work as a vocalist in the early 60's, and had success from her songs, including Do the Del Viking (Pt. 1/Pt. 2; in which her sister was the backup singer), Black Mother Goose, For the Love of Mike, Love & Desire, Ecstacy, Stolen Hours, Keep On Rolling, Those D.J. Shows, He's the Boy of My Dreams (a song about Stevie Wonder), Stay With Your Own Kind, That's All You Got to Do, & Come Into My Palace (the only song her & her sister, Brenda, sang that was a duet). She then was called in by Hanna-Barbera Prod. originally to just do the singing voice of Pussycat member, Valerie Brown, in their new cartoon series, Josie and the Pussycats (1970) , but she was then asked to do the on-camera voice, as well, making her the only member of the on-screen cast to actually sing during the inimitable chase scenes. it's debut on the 12th of September that year, on CBS's new fall Saturday morning cartoon line-up. The series made wonderful bubblegum music, with such hits as; Stop, Look & Listen, I Wanna Make You Happy, You've Come A Long Way Baby, and Lie, Lie, Lie. The series then ended on September 2, 1972. Ms. Holloway reprised her role (but just as the singing voice) of Valerie Brown, in H-B's new series - a follow-up, entitled Josie and the Pussy Cats in Outer Space (1972), which premiered just 7 days after the cancellation of the original series, "Josie and the Pussycats." Sadly, after 16 episodes the second series was canceled, as well, and ended production on 1 September, 1973, but, was in reruns for decades, afterwards.
