بیوگرافی / زندگینامه Fabio Mollo
Fabio was born in Reggio Calabria in 1980. In 2002 graduated at the University of East London with a BA Honour Bachelor of Arts in Visual Theory, Film History. In 2007 he graduated at the Italian Film School Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. He has been working regularly as assistant director and as filmmaker for MTV while establishing his career as a director. His work has been selected to different international festivals, including Toronto International Film Festival, Berlinale and Venice Film Festival. He directed several shorts, including "Al Buio" (62nd Venice Film Festival) and "Giganti" (58th Berlinale, Best Short at the Torino Film Festival, the International Press Award at Clermont Ferrand). He was a selected participant of the Atelier de la Cinefondation du 64° Festival de Cannes, of the Berlinale Talent Project Market and of the Talent Lab of the Toronto International Film Festival. He also won the Universal Filmmaster Program in Los Angeles, the Young Italian Filmmaker Prize in New York, and the Torino Film Lab Production Award. "Il Sud è Niente" (South is Nothing, 2013) is his first feature film. It was presented at the 64° Berlinale, 38° Toronto International Film Festival, 8° Festival Internazional del Film di Roma. Fabio was nominated for Best New Director at the Silver Ribbon Italian Film Critics Award and the Italian Golden Globe Award and won several national prizes. His first documentary "Vincenzo da Crosia" (Vincenzo, 2015) won the Special Mention Avanti Award at the 33rd Torino Film Festival.
