Ricky Berwick lives in Ontario, Canada. He was born with a physical disability that limits his movements. From a young age Berwick took to YouTube, making videos with his webcam as early as 2006. Berwick soon noticed that his content never stuck, leading to a hiatus of over nine years from uploading to YouTube. However, It wasn't until Berwick's second attempt in the late summer of 2016, on Twitter. He began doing short comedic videos, as a joke, and out of boredom. His main point was to see if known YouTubers would react to his short Twitter reply videos. It wasn't until he posted a video of him eating McDonald's french fries, that he went viral. The video was taken and re-uploaded to Facebook where it received millions of views. This led to an viral explosion (almost overnight) on his social media, prompting him to take a second chance at the entertainment industry. In doing this, Ricky found success and would continue uploading on Twitter for months until later that year when he re branded his YouTube channel and made his own Facebook page and began to release videos at a consistent and rapid pace.

As of 2018, Berwick's YouTube Channel and Facebook Page had amassed over 1 Million subscribers each, and he was set in stone. From here, although Ricky Berwick's name wasn't A-List celebrity status; his face was and tongue was. Within 18 months Berwick had taken over the internet with trending short videos scattered across all 3 of the largest social media platforms. Uploading on the daily, no matter where you went, "the guy who spins on the floor and sticks out his tongue on Facebook", was a internet star.
