Samir Rehem is a director known for bringing his cinematic and raw aesthetic to iconic television series and edgy indie comedies. His directorial work has been featured on award-winning youth television shows such as Skins, Degrassi and Open Heart and earned him a nomination for "Best Direction in a Youth Program or Series" for The Next Step at the Canadian Screen Awards. Recently Samir visited his music video roots, collaborating with Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew on the viral video You In Your Were, featuring Zach Galifianakis. His keen eye for comedy was recognized with a Canadian Comedy Award for the IFC series Cock'd Gunns and another nomination for the short Don't Walk Out That Door. This year Samir helmed the entire first season of the SuperChannel's comedy What Would Sal Do?
