David Michael Ross made his feature film debut in the 2000 Summer Blockbuster release, The Patriot. He attended an open audition and was cast for a very small role which he was told would last approximately 5 days. On his second day of filming the producers put him in a scene with Mel Gibson, Jason Isaccs, and Heath Ledger which was a very pivotal scene in the film and as result worked consistently for four months. After "The Patriot", and under the advice of Mel Gibson to write, and develop content, Mr. Ross continued acting small roles in studio and independent films, and eventually went on to write and produce several films. He is a partner at Tranquil Bay Entertainment with a slate of film and television projects in various stages. In addition, Mr. Ross has sold three feature screenplays and was hired to write an additional three. Mr. Ross bought the screen rights to a novel that featured his grandfather, Chicago Whitesox Pitcher, Lee "Buck" Ross and successfully optioned it to a Los Angeles based Production company. Under he and partners John Mullis, Matthew Ashford, and Tommy Kelly's Production Banner Tranquil Bay Entertainment, they are developing new and original content for both television and feature film.
